Correct breathing, with slow, sustained exhalation, can often stop an attack in its early stages, especially when the blood is then drawn away from the heart by bathing the arms. These arm baths, as recommended by Sebastian Kneipp in his water cures, have a particularly good effect when used for incipient attacks.
If congestions are also present, do not forget to take Aesculaforce and Ginkgo biloba. Moreover, a warm bath to which an infusion of lemon balm has been added will have a calming influence on the nervous system.
The proper functioning of the bowels, ensuring the elimination of all waste materials, is as important with angina as it is with other diseases. If necessary, use psyllium seed, or a linseed preparation or any other natural herbal laxative to promote good bowel movement.
As regards foods, a diet rich in natural grape or fruit sugar, but low in protein and salt, is recommended for angina pectoris.
